Ney & Partners projects awarded in the Belgian Timber Construction Awards, Brussels (BE)

HoutinfoBois organized the second edition of this Belgian architecture competition for projects completed in the past four years. The aim is to highlight wood as an organic and renewable building material. Additionally, it raises awareness about the construction sector’s contribution to CO2 emissions. The conversion of the Brunfaut residential tower won the first prize in the category multi residential project. This exceptional project marks the beginning of a series of landmark tower renovations in the Brussels-Capital Region. Ney & Partners were the structural engineers in a team with architects A299 and Daniel Dethier Architectes. In the category of non-residential buildings, two school buildings were awarded second and third prize, where Ney & Partners and Ney & Partners WOW contributed. These include the extensions of the Atheneum Ferdinand Blum in Schaerbeek (a Practice) and the ‘De Schatist’ school in Haren by architects a2o architecten.
