Footbridge in Albi and two other projects nominated for EUmies Awards 2026

The European Union and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe have nominated the cycling and pedestrian bridge in the UNESCO heritage city of Albi, designed by Ney & Partners, for the EUmies Award 2026 in the category Architecture & Emerging. The urban planning scheme was elaborated by MSA. Two other projects, of which Ney & Partners were consulting engineers, are nominated as well: the new Luxemburg Post headquarters HELIX (LU) by METAFORM architects and the rehabilitation of the social housing tower Brunfaut by Atelier 229 – Dethier Architecture in Brussels (BE).

The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture is awarded once every two years to the European projects delivering the best qualitative architectural contribution to sustainable development and the well-being of citizens. This prestigious prize underlines the shared cultural value of the development of architecture in Europe. Our bridge designs contribute actively to the cultural and architectural development and we are honoured to be recognized for our design, passion and dedication. © Vincent Boutin Photography
