Territorial development Ooijen-Wanssum wins International Landscape Award LILA 2021, Wanssum (NL)

After two serious floods of the river Meuse in the 90ties the area had to be protected against high water by a combination of dike construction and river widening. H+N+S Landschapsarchitecten are the designers of the new landscape plans with new types of dikes and innovative land modelling. Ney & Partners were in charge of all the infrastructure from bike viaducts till several traffic bridges. Modest, slender, yet iconic bridges that merge in the new man-made landscape around the Meuse.
