PROJECT
15.089 | Bicycle bridge ‘Op de Haard’
-
Numerous reconstruction works have been undertaken between the villages of Ooijen and Wanssum (Noord-Limburg) with the aim of controlling and minimizing the risk of river inundation. Ney & Partners was missioned for the architectural and structural design of several infrastructure works, that is, 4 bridges, 2 tunnels and 1 bicycle bridge.
The bicycle bridge crosses the new Rondweg at the hintersection with the Meerlosebaan. Given that the trench profile of the Rondweg in the Hoogterras must remain a strong element, the bicycle bridge was designed as a light and minimalist object with a barely visible abutment. - PROJECT DATA
