Posing of the first stone on the construction site Morbihan multi-model interchange, Vannes (FR)

Last week, the city council of the Breton city of Vannes organised a ceremony to mark the start of works for the new public space and the footbridge over the railway. This is a large-scale and ambitious project for the small town. The multi-modal interchange will have an impact on the entire traffic flow of the city and, above all, ensure a smoother and safer route for pedestrians and cyclists. The general contractor Bouygues TP started works on the site in early 2024 and is currently working on the station’s plateforms. The precast concrete bridge will be installed at the end of October 2024. End of works is scheduled for September 2025.
