The assembly of bridge sections pedestrian bridge Albi is ongoing (FR)

The special preparations for the assembly of the bridge  parts at the Pratgraussal site and the site of the brick train bridge over the Tarn began in May. The metal prism-shaped components that make up the bridge deck were assembled in several stages: the first two by mobile crane, the remaining 7 were brought in via pontoons on the Tarn. These exceptional precision work and its finishing are scheduled for late this summer. Installation of the furniture, finishing of the bridge deck and lighting is planned for the autumn. From next spring, one can admire the Episcopal Palace and St Cecilia’s Cathedral – a UNESCO World Heritage site from the various vantage points on the footbridge.
