Footbridges in Albi and in Bourg-Lès-Valence nominated for BeNeLux Steel Bridge Contest 2025

The footbridges in Albi and Bourg-Lès-Valence designed by Ney & Partners and both located in France, are among the ten steel bridge projects nominated for the BeNeLux Steel Bridge Contest 2025. This contest is organized by Infosteel (BE) and Bouwen met Staal (NL) and held once every two years. The two footbridges are nominated in the category “Foot and Cycle Bridges”. The aim of the contest is to recognize bridge projects that serve as exemplary models. The organisers seek to encourage (intelligent) steel and steel-concrete solutions in infrastructure and bridge design. The jury selected the submitted projects based on four criteria: concept (design, creativity, and innovation), context (integration into the environment), method (use of materials, production, execution, detailing, and process), and performance (level of sustainability and maintenance). We are proud that the jury selected two of our  innovative bridge designs from a total of 49 entries. The winners will be announced in February next year, in Utrecht (NL). ©Corentin Haubruge
