Works on the Zuidbrug are progressing well, Halle (BE)

This month, after some preparations, the steel structure of the bowstring bridge was placed in its final position. The preparation consisted of assembling the steel structure (main beams, crossbeams, arches, dowels, …), installing the hangers, executing the formwork and finally dismantling the temporary structures.

Last weekend (16-17 January) the bridge was lowered by means of a pontoon onto its final supports. Next month will see the installation of the reinforcement for the deck slab and its casting, all above the canal Brussels – Charleroi.
