Start construction Learning and Innovation Center (LIC), Brussels (BE)

The Learning and Innovation Center (LIC), designed by evr-architects, A229, Ney & Partners and Arcadis, will be an infrastructure that changes along with the evolutions in learning methods and can therefore support them with the latest technology. The building, commissioned by both universities, will literally bridge the gap between the campuses of the VUB and ULB which are currently still separated from each other and will cooperate more intensively in the future. The building also has an exemplary function in terms of sustainability. Next to being fully energy neutral, the  large spans and generous allowable loads provide the building with the necessary flexibility to evolve together with a modern and changing educational environment.
