Start construction Footbridge Poissy (FR)

Almost 10 years after winning the competition for a new soft mobility connection between Poissy and Carrières-sous-Poissy, west of Paris, construction has officially begun, led by the general contractor Leon Grosse. In December 2025, Laurent Ney, together with the Architecte des Bâtiments de France (heritage architect) Gaël Noblanc, was present to select the color duo for the steel bridge. The next step, scheduled for early 2026, will involve the steel contractor MAEG presenting a detailed mock-up of a bridge segment, including the railing, cut-out patterns, lighting, and more. Additionally, the construction of the piers in the Seine river will begin in the first three months of 2026, with the drilling of large-diameter piles.
