The R4WO is a large-scale infrastructure project to improve traffic flow between the R4 and the port area of Ghent. It also has a strong positive influence on the surrounding suburbs. The main task is to improve the accessibility and safety of the R4 and the bicycle highway, whereby the F40 no longer has any ground floor level crossings.
