PROJECT
98.048 | Tervuren footbridge
-
The pedestrian bridge is situated on an old disused railway line Brussels-Tervuren. The basic idea consists of including the different lines of movement that cross this cross roads. The typology consists of an arc bridge with a superior bridge deck. The position of the bridge deck with respect to the arc is rather peculiar. The arc is situated next to the bridge deck so that it becomes usable for pedestrians. At the top of the bridge, paths split. The structure is made of steel with a timber deck.
