The assignment for the restoration and refurbishment of Gaasbeek Castle includes, on the one hand, the restoration of the 19th-century interiors and, on the other hand, the realisation of a new museum routing with adapted scenography and the opening up of a number of spaces that were not previously part of the museum. The new museum route was made possible by the addition of a new floor with steel beams and wooden girders. Studies were also carried out to solve some building physics and stability issues and improve accessibility.
