M127, referring to the building’s location, is a re-use and renovation project of a former police building. This dated office building was transformed into a future-oriented office building where, among other things, the law firm Schoups is located. To this end, the current building is extended with an additional open-plan office by means of an extension. In addition, the project aims to enrich the neighbourhood and community by integrating a public event space, library, and brasserie on the ground and first floor. In consultation with the neighbours of the music school, hospital, and church, the grey in-between space which was used as a parking lot is transformed into a semi-public green oasis. The garden design is co-designed by landscape architect Ludovic Devriendt. Artist Philip Aguirre y Otegui is responsible for the art integration in the building.
