20.047 | Mixed-use Building ‘Matisse 16’
-
This complex with 156 residential units, 20,000 m2 of office space and 400 m2 area of retail with 200 parking spaces is located on the outskirts of Brussels in the Bordet district near the National Airport. Neutelings Riedijk architects in collaboration with AXENT Architect designed a contemporary building group that meets stringent sustainability requirements in a green environment. The primary structural system will consist of reinforced concrete, utilizing prefabricated and prestressed elements for the infrastructure, while in-situ cast flat slabs will be employed for the upper floors. To optimize the layout and organization of the underground parking facility, careful consideration has been given to load transfer mechanisms.
