PROJECT
13.070 | Misumi canopy
-
This curved canopy was designed for a new public space in Misumi. The brief called for a design that guides visitors to the existing harbour, both fitting in the local landscape and with a light-weight appearance. The 200 m long curved roof, works as a continuous ring girder structure, sitting on pin supports of the columns. The curved geometry allows for eccentric column positions, creating a wide column-free space.
