21.038 | Metro do Porto Bridge

Ney & Partners together with Estrutovia participated in the international competition for the design of a new bridge over the Douro for Metro do Porto. The new river crossing will offer a high level connection for pedestrians and cyclists as well as a new Metro line, connecting Vila Nova de Gaia with Porto. The project scope, starting from a new underground metro station in the north reaching to a new station on the south bank, measures 980 m long and includes a bridge of 680 m with an arch of 300 m span.
