PROJECT
15.089 | Kweibrug bridge
-
The Kweibrug at Ooijen is a reinforced concrete structure with a total length of 200 m divided into 10 fields. The deck has a functional width of 12.1 metres, consisting of two lanes of traffic 3.5 metres and two pedestrian/bicycle lanes of 2.5 metres. The two abutments, designed as bastions, are clad with prefabricated panels specifically designed for optimal integration into the context. The bridge can be considered semi-integral, the piles being monolithically connected to the deck. The outermost piles such as the abutments get classical bearings, free in the longitudinal direction. The deck was poured field by field on a movable formwork.
