PROJECT
15.089 | Infrastructure Ooijen – Wanssum
-
Since 2015, numerous measures have been taken in the area between the villages of Ooijen and Wanssum (northern Limburg) to improve water safety: the Oude Maasarm was reactivated, dykes were moved and two high-water channels were constructed. In Wanssum, the port was also expanded and a ring road was built. Ney & Partners was responsible for the architectural and structural designs of the various engineering structures (4 bridges, 2 subways and one cycle bridge). The combination Mooder Maas – Combination Dura Vermeer – Ploegam and Ney & Partners worked together on the assignment, which was delivered in 2022. In 2021, the project was honored with the Landzine International Landscape Award.
