PROJECT
08.020 | Fransman Footbridge
-
The abutments create a new public space that grants better accessibility to the bridge and the site and a better reading of them. The design of the bridge derives from this concept. Clear and direct access from the Fransman/Steven street is created through the integration of stairs. Cyclists and people with reduced mobility can cross the train rails by using the new ramps. The pedestrian bridge is made out of bent steel plates.
