PROJECT
07.027 | Galgenberg Footbridge
-
This footbridge forms a direct link between the heart of the city and Parc du Galgeberg. Over a distance of more than 100 m, a height difference of 21 m needs to be addressed and several overhead wires and high tension cables need to be avoided. The bridge is a spatial truss structure conceived as one continuous steel skin. The exterior of this skin is painted in light grey, emphasizing the subtle curving of the project. The interior is painted in iron oxide red, a nod to the characteristic red soil of the Minette region.
