With its three spans of 21.3 m, 21.4 m and 21.3 m respectively, the appearance of the bridge resembles the existing bridges over the canal. The central span crosses the Ekkersrijt Ecological Link Zone. The side spans provide space for the connections for cyclists and pedestrians in BIC North. The bridge is mainly used by (freight) traffic for the industrial campus. On top of the bridge, speed and efficiency prevail; while underneath it, nature and the human scale dominate. The supporting structure is a continuous curved shell that forms a monolithic whole with abutments and supports. The entire supporting structure is located under the roadway. The low and slender scale construction disrupts the typical wide landscape as little as possible.
