Opening maintenance Hangar Belgian Defence, Melsbroek (BE)

Under the watchful eye of Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder & Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister François Bausch, the Defence aircraft hangar was officially declared open last week. The new hangar measures approximately 75 m by 185 m and provides an area without internal pillars to free up all the space for aircrafts. It is the largest hangar ever designed and built for the Belgian Ministry of Defence. The construction is carried out by the company Democo, while C-Metal supplied and mounted the steel structure. Ney & Partners optimized the steel structure and provided the execution study for the structure and its connections.
