The first 8-storey timber building will soon be erected in Brussels. In addition to the classic advantages of timber construction, this real estate project also demonstrates the advantage of fast construction sites with less disruption for local residents in an urban environment.

The construction of large wooden buildings requires different reflexes from traditional construction. Hence the importance of involving the experts from the timber construction in the process from the very beginning. In terms of construction, the makers of this project opted for a wooden, bonded column beam structure with slabs in CLT (cross laminated timber). The combination is ideal for an office building.
