Ney & Partners wins large-scale infrastructure project R4WO, Ghent (BE)

The Design and Build team Bravo 4, consisting of BESIX Group, Stadsbader, EPICo, Rebel, I4B, Tractebel, Landschape architects OMGEVING and Ney & Partners win the commission to improve the traffic flow between the R4 and the port area of Ghent.

Ney & Partners is responsible for the architecture and part of the engineering of the structures and opts for a form of uniformity that cleverly responds to the context that varies throughout the area. Elegant bicycle bridges, integral bridges with slender bridge decks, compact edge elements, beautiful parapets and round columns characterise the infrastructure. Here, as in the landscape design, the various perceptions and safety of the different road users are central.
