Ney & Partners structural engineers for the OPEN_UP reconversion, Brussels (BE)

On 8^th of December, our team submitted the planning application for our “OPEN_UP” project, just 14 months after winning the competition organized by BNP Paribas Fortis.

The project involves the major renovation of a 60,000 m2 former bank building into a multifunctional site comprising around a hundred apartments (including coliving), offices, local shops, a medical centre, a conference centre and a roof top with an orangery. The project is ambitious both from an energy point of view (passive and BREEAM excellent) and in terms of circularity.
