Festive opening of the foot and bicycle bridge in Albi (FR)

Yesterday, the new footbridge in Albi was opened to great interest. Enthusiastic residents have been visiting the footbridge in large numbers since it opened to the public 3 weeks ago. The bridge is an architecturally striking design that has been conceived as a series of viewpoints upon the protected UNESCO site. Suspended from a 19th-century railway bridge, the new bridge offers completely new and breathtaking views of the old town, the cathedral, Le Vieux Pont and the banks of the Tarn. Ney & Partners seized the opportunity to create a new urban public space that far exceeds the need for infrastructure. The urban redevelopment of the two squares, adjacent of the bridge landings was carried out in collaboration with MS-A.
