Construction footbridge Active-Link in Shin-Sapporo in final stage (JP)

The new footbridge, Active-Link, will connect hospitals, high-rise condominiums and commercial facilities in Shin-Sapporo. The 176 m long and 3.5 m wide footbridge will be divided into 52 blocks for transport, assembled to 26 blocks on site, and will be welded together in the final position. The footbridge, shaped like an oval ring, features a large, support-free, continuous glass envelop in the inner surface of the ring. The opening for the public is forseen in July 2022.
