The new bridge will optimise soft traffic with a three-metre-wide pedestrian and cycle path. All cycle paths on the right and left sides of the Moselle will be connected in future in a traffic-safe and uninterrupted way. The new main bridge is designed as a composite bow-string bridge with a span of 132 m. The height of the arch is approx. 27 m. The approach bridge is designed as a prestressed concrete slab bridge. The superstructure of the 3-span bridge has a total length of 80.5 m with spans of 24.8 – 30.9 – 24.8 m.
